Density Altitude (DA)
Pressure altitude corrected for non-standard temperature; the altitude at which the airplane 'feels' like it is flying.
Because hot air is less dense than cold air, high temperatures thin the atmosphere, diminishing wing lift, propeller efficiency, and internal combustion oxygen intake.
Angle of Attack (AoA)
The acute angle measured between the chord line of an airfoil and the oncoming relative wind vector.
An aircraft can stall at any airspeed, any attitude, and any altitude if the critical angle of attack (typically 14°–18°) is exceeded.
Coffin Corner (Q-Corner)
